This is my 1st album!
It incorporates a lot of the kinds of music I listened to growing up in Idaho. I listened to a lot of my Dad's jazz, R&B and funk records as a kid; Herbie Hancock, Mandrill, Coltrane, David Sanborn, Richard Pryor, Earth, Wind and Fire, Otis Redding, Al Green, Marvin Gaye; they all influenced me as I got older, so by the time I was a teenager, I was into hip-hop any music with sub-bass, The Beastie boys, Run DMC, The Brecker Brothers, Miami Bass DJs Techmaster P.E.B. & DJ Magic Mike.
I fell in love with playing saxophone over DJs, dance & hip-hop beats as a kid just learning to play saxophone. I would even make my own mix tapes & try to remix songs with a double cassette recorder!

Once I purchased an Akai MPC2000 after living in Manhattan for a few years, I began making my own beats to create the kind of music you hear on this album. It's combination of MPC2000, Sony Acid & live instrumentation.

I love mixing elements of jazz with electronic music, so that's what this recording is. I produced the beats, then played sax over them or added vocals & other live instruments. The fortunate thing about being in New York City is having a wonderfully creative & talented pool of friends that are willing to contribute to my musical vision.
Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed creating it!

P.S.
This album is dedicated to the memory of my father , "Big Hutch". If it wasn't for his record collection, I don't know what I'd be doing today.
